SUPERSCRABBLE GAMES – JAN 24, 2019 RESULTS

CONGRATULATIONS to our champions for winning 3 games:  ALAN STERN and TOM TITUS.   Alan had the highest number of bingos=15; Tom found 5 bingos.  We’re back to the usual schedule of playing 3 games.  We only have one deviation from this norm in December when we play 2 games and a non-Scrabble game to enjoy a different kind of game.

A detailed look at the score sheets revealed: DAVID PODER won the High-Point-Game =1183 and the High-Point-Cum =3120; ALAN STERN won the H-Bingo-Word QUERISTS =194 points; LYNN GUNN won the H-Non-Bingo-Word FAQIR =81 points; and RENÉE KAHN won more category words than anyone else, because she studies the assigned category words that Maliha lists in the REMINDER-email. Again CONGRATS to all winners! Everyone is a winner at the Superscrabble Club.  In case I failed to mention it before, the games at the Superscrabble Club is an open mini tournament. SUPERSCRABBLE GAMES – 12-20-18 RESULTS

WELCOME to CAROLINA CELIS who came for the first to Superscrabble Games.  It was an honor to see her finally made it.  And congrats for achieving 733 points for your first Superscrabble game.

CONGRATULATIONS to the FOUR champions this month: GARY MOSS,AMNON MEYERS, DAVID PODER, and EVELYN DAVIS.   There were two Superscrabble Games played, so the two-game-winners gets the same award as though they played 3 games.  WOW! Remember players: This is our diversion from now on every Christmas Superscrabble Games!  This includes Gretchen’s traditional family game of LEFT, RIGHT, AND CENTER! Center is the pot for each dice turn; the person who has $1 left in her/his possession is the big winner. We’re adopting it as our Christmas diversion game instead of playing 3 Superscrabble Club games.  You must take along 3 dollars to participate in this diversion; but remember it’s only once a year.  This year’s experience was truly fun-filled.

GARY played 5 bingos, 5 category words, and the highest non-bingo word QUINS=102 AMNON won 2 games, played 9 bingos, 3 category words, and the high-point bingo=123 REALIST.  DAVID won 2 GAMES, 11 bingos, and 3 category words. EVELYN won 2 games, 5 bingos, and 10 category words.  The second big winner for the category words is RENÉE KAHN who garnered 8 valid category words. Congratulations again to all the winners.  Keep up the good work and impressive results as it gives you a good brain exercise.  AND congrats to GRETCHEN for winning the Center Pot for the LRC game.

As mentioned many times before, all champions are disqualified to win the High-Cum and High-Point game awards to give chance to others.  After detailed examination of the score sheets, the H-POINT game=1090, and the H-CUM=2008 goes to ALAN STERN.  Congratulations Alan! In addition, Alan also won 2 category words.  BOB AGNEW played 3 category words; Maliha has the envelope for the award.
