ROUND 1:  Words with ABS– at the beginning of a word. The examples below are just some of those words that begins with ABS.  There are 177 words listed in the updated Word Judge for Clubs and Tournaments including the 3-letter-word ABS.  Examples:  ABSCESS, ABSCISE, ABSCISED, ABSCISES, ABSCISIN, ABSCISING, ABSCISINS, ABSCISSA, ABSCISSAE, ABSCISSAS, ABSCOND, ABSCONDED, ABSCONDS, ABSEIL, ABSEILED, ABSEILER, ABSEILS, ABSENCE, ABSENT, ABSENTED, ABSENTEE, ABSENTLY, ABSENTS, ABSINTH, ABSINTHE, ABSINTHES, ABSINTHS, ABSOLUTE, ABSOLVE,  ABSOLVED, ABSONANT, ABSORB, ABSORBED, ABSORBER, ABSORBERS, ABSORBING, ABSORBS, ABSTAIN, ABSTAINS, ABSTERGE, ABSTINENT, ABSTRACT,ABSTRICT, ABSTRICTS, ABSTRUSE, ABSURD, ABSURDIST, ABSURDITY, ABSURDLY,  ABSURDS, etc.

ROUND 2Words containing …ILY at the END of a word; see the following samples of 5- to 8-letter words:  DAILY, DOILY, DRILY, GAILY, ICILY, NOILY, ROILY, SHILY, SLILY, etc.; AERILY, AIRILY, ARTILY, ABILITY, AGILITY, ANALITY, ANGRILY, ANILITY, BAGGILY, BALKILY, BALMILY, BAWDILY, BEADILY, BEAMILY, BEEFILY, BONNILY, BOOZILY, BOSSILY, BULKILY, BUMPILY, BURLILY, BUSHILY, CAMPILY, CANNILY, CATTILY, CHARILY, COCKILY, CORNILY, CRAZILY, CRUSILY, CURLILY, CUSHLILY, etc.

ROUND 3 (also an ALL-DAY category): Herb-related words and homeopathic remedies: Examples:  ARNICA, BASIL, CALCARIA, ROSEHIP, ROSEMARY, MINTS, YAUTIA, OREGANO, ORIGAN, MARJORAM, CELERY, CILANTRO, THYME, THYMI, THYMUS, MALANGA, COMFREY, EPHEDRA, HERBAL, HYPERICUM, VERBENA, FEVERFEW, etc.

LEARN two long words to win the 12- to 13-letter-word ($340 in the pot), and 14- to 15+letter-word ($440 to date).  The players who find the long word may split the prize. The first example was sent by Amnon: SNOW BOAR DING for 12- to 13-letter-word forming SNOWBOARDING; it can take an S at the end.  Under W, this word breaks down into FIVE valid words:  WRONG, HEAD, HEADED, NESS, NESSES.  It may begin with HEADED somewhere near the center.  This category is an opportunity to play a longer word than usual, and because this is a learning process for all, it is allowed to point out the possibility to your opponent that you both can build a long word together resulting into WRONGHEADEDNESS=15 letters.  Adding ES at the end makes it plural, WRONGHEADEDNESSES, qualifying it in the 14- to 15+letter-category.  Results will be posted here at superscrabble.wordpress.com.

The next games for Superscrabble Club: August 22, 2019.
