Superscrabble Club Stats 7-24-14

Standard

Welcome to TONY COCO (former Mayor of Tustin) who played with us for the first time. He could not recall precisely when he last played standard Scrabble® but never faced the Super Scrabble® board before. Please come back to play again as we enjoyed your presence.

Congrats to BILL LAPINSKI who was unbeatable again winning all three games, plus nailing down the highest scoring bingo with 182 points for FIDDLERS. He also won the high-game point in Group 1, scoring 1073 during the first round, and found 10 bingos. PAT REED and GRETCH came in second for 9 bingos played.

Many thanks to GRETCHEN COWAN (an educator in previous profession) who was very kind to show TONY the funnest game that tickles and rocks our brain all day. Gretchen did it for the sake of rescuing our insanity, and guide us in seeking the Superscrabble Club ness (albeit thru the stern faces of STRAIGHTFORWARDNESSES, the twin brothers who guard the ward at the ness–per Nessie). GRETCHEN won the high-point game 1069 for Group 2 (she floated into Group 2 to once again be the privileged teacher). Congrats to RENEE KAHN for winning the high-bingo point 151 for HEROINE in Group 2.
